We can bottom fish for a wide variety of Snapper, Grouper and Triggerfish.  Big predators also inhabit these reefs including Cobia, Amberjacks, Barracudas and Sharks. A Little About Daytona’s Artificial Reefs

Volusia County, home to Daytona Beach, has created one of the the largest and most successful artificial reef systems in Florida.  Consisting mainly of discarded concrete structures such as bridge pilings and culverts, these man made reefs are now home to millions of sea creatures from corals and invertibrates all the way up the food chain to amberjacks and sharks. They are found from 2.2 nautical miles to 32.8 nautical miles miles offshore with the majority being between 5 and 20 miles offshore. They are right off the coast of Daytona Beach, New Smyrna Beach, Ponce Inlet and other coastal towns in Volusia County.

Together with the numerous natural reefs, largely grown on natural rock outcroppings, these artificial reefs are a boom for private recreational fishing as well as offshore fishing charters.

The reefs are the perfect fishing spot for families with children, not too far from shore and plenty of fish of all sizes year round! You may even see dolphins along the way!
