Everything is Biting in the Spring!
Fishing takes off in Daytona Beach in the Spring. Fish are on the move and big fish including Sharks are coming closer to shore as the waters warm up. Spring is a great time to bottom fish for Snapper, Grouper and Triggerfish. Huge Cobia are migrating north along the coast. Other large predators such as Amberjacks, Mahi and Wahoo are also showing up in the Spring in Daytona Beach.

Inshore Fishing Charters
On The Hook Charters offers inshore saltwater fishing trips on the Halifax River and at Ponce Inlet.
Just south of Daytona Beach, the undeveloped Halifax River basin becomes a prime estuary for all your favorite Florida inshore species: Redfish, Spotted Sea Trout, Mangrove Snapper, Flounder, Black Drum, and don’t forget Snook and Tarpon especially at Ponce Inlet in September and October. Big Redfish enter the Halifax River at Ponce inlet each autumn for the October Redfish Run! Sheepshead are a popular catch on inshore fishing charters all winter long.
